Default Question from a newbie

Hi. I'm taking my first cruise Nov. 30 (Carnival Conquest from New
Orleans), and I have a question: Should I have received my documents by
now, or is it common to have not received them at this points?
Thanks.

Yes, it's still too early. Actually, documents are not really
necessary, you can get everything you need at the terminal. However,
your passport (or birth certificate) is a necessity.

Default Questions from a newbie.

Hi, we will be cruising in August on the Golden Princess, and would like to
ask a few questions.

Is room 703B BAJA deck OK, is it noisy or hot, we have no way of knowing and
the TA will say anything to sell the cruise.

Does the room have a kettle to make tea.

What do we do with cameras when on shore; i.e. swimming with the dolphins,
in Antigua.
aha, Sharon & Jim Robson.

We have been in that location on the Grand Princess and thought is was a
great spot. I assume you are worried about the stairs/elevators in asking
about the noise? It have never found it a problem. Once in a while you might
get a noisy passenger lingering by the elevator, but it's rare and short
lived.

As for being hot, you will have your own temperature control in the cabin
which has been quite good on our 5 cruises on Grand Class ships. The balcony
can obviously be hot if in the sun. Don't leave the balcony door open.

No, there are no kettles to make tea, but you are only two decks away from
the Horizon Court 24 hour buffet.

I haven't done the dolphin swim in Antigua, so can't help you there.

It looks like a good location, you are near the elevator and the decks
above and below you are all cabins.

> Does the room have a kettle to make tea.

No, but you can call room service for tea and it is no additional
charge. A small tip is customary when you order from room service.

Princess has a buffet open 24 hours a day. They have coffee and tea
stations there. No need for tea in your room.

They might provide lockers for your personal stuff while you swim with
the dolphins. That was the set-up at Chankanaab/Cozumel. It may be
the same thing in Antigua. If you want pix of the swim itself, I
suggest you buy one of the single-use waterproof cameras and bring
that with you to the actual dolphin swim site. Usually, you can ask
other folks there to snap pix for you, and you do the same for them.

In regard to a "small tip is customary". Do you tip at the time of service,
or are you talking about the usual tip at the end of the voyage?

Thanks...

With room service you tip at the time of service.
