| | Guest | suite vs 2 oceanviews For the first time, we are going on a group cruise with several families AND
we are planning it as a "family" (such as it is) cruise together: my
long-time fiance, his 23 y/o daughter, me and my 16 y/o son.. In the past,
I've always travelled w/ 2 and sometimes 3 to a cabin and I've always gotten
the cheapest oceanview available.
Since they'll be four of us, would a suite suit our needs or two ov
staterooms be the best bet? Would a suite be big enough for 4 adults?
The kids and I don't really stay in the room much, but my fiance needs his
"alone" time and enjoys sitting in the room reading, sleeping, etc. We all
get along well, and would enjoy the suite...if it provides enough room. The
bathroom may be another problem. | |

I would go for two oceanviews, mainly to have the extra bathroom.

| | Guest | suite vs 2 oceanviews There are some suites on some ships where you could be pretty
comfortable all together, but they tend to be VERY expensive; I know
this because I love bathtubs (which are mostly only found in suites
except on Holland America ships) and luxury, so I always check out suite
prices and it just doesn't work out right financially even though the
rate for 3rd and 4th passengers in the room is often very low.
My recommendation would be two oceanviews - unless your son and his
daughter get along well enough to share a cabin together, in which case
you get THEM the cheapest cabin on the ship and YOU and your fiance a
balcony cabin!
