Most of the airlines have a 50 lb limit now, it is always best to check
with your airline shortly before you are leaving. All this information
is available on their websites.

| | Guest | American Airlines another reason to fly AirTran. They are still at 70 lbs per bag, flights are
cheap and except for my first flight with them a few years back they've
always been on time. The fresh air in the cabin is also a plus.

49 instead of 50, like one lb makes a difference.

| | Guest | American Airlines Well, if it's the difference between 50 and 51 it makes a $25 difference.
all domestic:
American 50 lbs
Delta 50 lbs
United 50 lbs
Northwest 50 lbs
Air Tran 70 lbs
Southwest 70 lbs
International may offer weight limits up to 70 pounds on some airlines that
are only 50 domestic
Not really sure who is at 49 pounds.

Add Spirit 70 lbs
Frontier 70 lbs
(By the way, Air Tran and Jet Blue in addition to 70 lbs limit per bag also
allow 3 checked bags per passenger)

| | Guest | American Airlines Just to be clear, that USAirways (and others) is PER BAG, not total.
USAirways is 2 bags not to exceed 50 lbs. EACH. Plus carryons.
If you need more than 100 lbs. of stuff plus 40 lbs of carryon baggage.....
You're overpacking! HAHAHAAHhaaaaaaahahaaaa.....ehem............
Relax, will ya? IT'S A CRUISE!!!
