| | Guest | What's the lowest price you've seen for a cruise, per day? We sailed last year on the Regal Empress out of Port Everglades for $59
for 5 days! Port charges were extra, but we did the whole cruise for
around $300 for two. We had sailed on the Regal Empress several times
before and loved the ship - small and vintage with great service, good
food and iffy entertainment!

| | Guest | What's the lowest price you've seen for a cruise, per day? Here is an extract from today's e-mail from Perx.com. Obviously they just
want to fill the ship. I wonder how many discretionary dollars, on average,
the lines calculate a passenger will spend.
"INTERLINE VACATIONS: Weekly Update - 21 OCT '03
Wow the fur is really flying now. Things have been crazy since
NCL dropped their $99 bomb last week, and now it appears that
we're fixing to kick it up another notch!
First of all, NCL has opened up another few cabins on the October
26th Sky plus they've opened up the November 2nd sailing at the
same low rate, you got it, just $99!
That's right $99 per person buys you and up to 3 cabins full
of your friends, family or neighbors a luxury 7 night cruise
to the exotic Caribbean.
By the way, yes this does include Port Charges & government fees.
And when you think about it, they are actually paying you to cruise,
because the cruise fare is actually ZERO and they are discounting
the Port Fees. UNBELIEVABLE! "

| | Guest | What's the lowest price you've seen for a cruise, per day? We just went on the Majesty of the Seas (4-nighter) for $259 pp (outside),
including port charges. But the inside room was $249.

Coincidentally, Cruise News Daily today had an article on RCI/CEL's first week
of enforcing senior and resident rates, interline and airline employees are
next on the list. T/As are also to be double checked - hmmm..better remember
to get my CLIA card renewed :)

| | Guest | What's the lowest price you've seen for a cruise, per day? Don't know if I ever posted about this but in Feb 2002, Eileen and I did
8 days in a high-level, balcony cabin on the Carnival Spirit for $168
bucks each, including taxes, fees, and tips. It was a special deal from
the Carnival Players Club, that they have never repeated to my
knowledge. The amazing thing is that I am not really a player. :)
