Are you asking where they speak English? Charge local prices to
tourists? Accept dollars? | |

| | Guest | Gringo-friendly parts of Latin America? Most of the tourist areas in Mexico are where you'll find English
speaking locals. If you can speak Spanish most of the rest of the
country is open. Friendliness often depends on how you treat the local
people.
As for other countries I would avoid much of Northern South America as
being dangerous. I think Costa Rica would be a great place to spend
some time. They also have lots of programs to learn Spanish.

| | Guest | Gringo-friendly parts of Latin America? Gadget,
Which of those places would you honestly, whole-heartedly recommend to
someone who hasn't been outside of the US yet? Your favorites and why.
I want to travel, but Canada is way too chilly, Europe's kinda far
away and chilly, and the Caribbean seems more for rich older couples
on cruise ships.
Unless someone can recommend great places in the Caribbean for
singles? GadgetWorld@ wrote in message news:<6164-3F96C3C3-37@storefull-2294.public.lawson.>...
