Go to vacationstogo to search ... you can put in what ports etc. you
want and things pop up ...
We did the RT Rome on the Carnival Freedom and had a great time ...
able to see Rome (an overnight at the end), Pompeii, Florence/Pisa,
Athens, Katakolon, Rhodes, Izmir and Istanbul ...
We also did Portugual Spain Gibraltar at the end of a transatlantic on
the NCL Jade for a similar great time ...
Generally the cruises are RT from Barcelona for Italy/Spain or RT Rome
for Italy/Greece/Turkey .... although I have seen Grand Mediterranean
one way Barcelona-Istanbul ... the search I recommended should show
them all ...
Go in the early spring or late fall ... These are mostly walking
around seeing the different places outside ... and a temp in the 60's
is very nice ... in the summer (late spring, early fall even) ... it
gets unbearably hot ... one doesn't want to climb the hill to the top
of the Parthenon in 90 degree heat ... |
