It was not a Carnival Cruise ... a theme cruise by an outside
group ... | |

Another possible supply problem is that they changed ports at the last
minute ... Expecting to resupply at the intended port ...

Lot's of people here rave about Carnival food... but I disagree... out of
40+ cruises, my one Carnival sailing had the worst food of any cruise line
we've been on. For much better food (IMO) you want Celebrity or Cunard.

Carnival is definitely not my favorite cruise line, but I have to admit
the food was very good. Chocolate melting cake was to die fir.

Not my favorite either .. but ...
My wife the chocoholic ... rates all Carnival chocolate desserts the
absolute best of any others ... They really know what to do with
chocolate is her comment ...

I'll reserve my updated opinion about Celebrity until Solstice on the
Med next May, but based on Mercury 2 years ago Celebrity food was no
better (if not slightly inferior) than Royal Caribbean. Service was
poor. IMO, of course.
The food on Carnival last September was on par with my local diner, as
was the service and ambience.

I have no experience with Carnival (but plan to for the right cruise), but I
have found Celebrity food inferior. Their presentation is definitely a step
above (even if the tables ARE too small for all the "stuff"), but quality
was not that great as of late. And the deserts have always been "blah".
It WAS much better on our earlier Horizon/Zenith Bermuda cruises, but the
most recent ones (although a few years ago) were not up to the same
standards.
But obviously all these comments are opinions, and we all know about
opinions.
