Scandinavia Cruises

Totally new to cruising...I would greatly appreciate any help
in where I should go for my research ..Travel agent vs. internet
Not sure when is the best time to go,Not sure what is the best
cruise line or ship to research...My husband said he'd love to
go see the Scandinavian countries...30 year anniversary
coming up next year and I feel that since he's the one
bring it up....Well...I'd better jump on this fast...

I would start with the internet, and then get some questions together
to ask some of the cruise specialty travel agents. But --- there is
no such thing as the best cruise line or best ship. Some people like
one and some like the other. Ditto for the best time

1. Use the internet to get an idea of pricing, but when you are ready to
book a cruise, use a good travel agent.

2. Look thru the itineraries of Princess and Holland America for their
Scandanavian offerings. You cannot go wrong with either line. Plan on a
cruise of at least 10 nights.

3. Be prepared for a wonderful experience. The nordic countries are
hospitable, friendly, very scenic and memorable. English is almost as
common as their native language.

We were there in June 2004 and would like to return for a more extensive
cruise of the Norwegian fjiords...and to St. Petersburg (Russia).

Put the Celebrity Cruises ship Constellation on your list. Century as well.

Constellation may be the nicest ship (other than the luxury boys like
Crystal, Regent, Silversea, which are big bucks) doing that area. We did
the Norwegian Fjords on Constellation and the Baltics on Century.
