That's what I would have thought too. But HAL says the ship get to
Grand Turk at 12 A.M. and leaves at 5 p.m. I find it hard to believe
that they actually get into port at midnight.

Which ship will you be on? It does seem strange to me.

Statendam

We leave Half Moon at 4 pm, and get to Grand Turk the next day at
whatever time of day it is

Day 1 Half Moon Cay, Bahamas TR SE 08:00 AM 04:00 PM
Day 2 Grand Turk, Turks & Caicos 12:00 AM 06:00 PM


The Grand Turk website (thank you for that URL Sue) says. 12:00-18:00
and that we are the only ship there that day.

Also take lots of small change to give to the children who have
been well trained to ask for it. Allow 40 minutes to see all there
is to see,

The local Indians create art work out of brightly coloured cloth and
incredibly small stitches. John leCarre had his "Tailor of Panama"
employ Indians from the San Blas Islands to do the button holes on
the suits he made,
