Default Passport Question

Long time lurker here. Does a Canadian citizen need a passport to sail
round trip to Alaska on a cruise departing from Vancouver, or will a
birth certificate and driver's license suffice? I've done a search
and only find conflicting views.

TIA
yst

If you have time before you sail, you should go ahead and get a passport.
Just to avoid any problems and stressing about it.
