| | Guest | An Alaskan Bear Cruise -- Our RSVP Cruise to Alaska with the Lazy Bears Interestingly enough, Cruise Critic refused this review because it had
numerous reference to the crusie provider. I could easily remove the
TA credit, but taking the RSVP brand out of the review would render it
meaningless. (Interesting that there was a Cruise Critic get-together
on the daily program one day - but I didn't bother)
....oh - I forgot the best part of he cruise. I won $249 at bingo! (HAL
charges a reasonable price of $20 for 3 squares, 4 games in comparison
to the absurd charges I found on NCL in January).

But they do allow roll calls for RSVP or Atlantis in the subject line
on their message boards. And they will allow thinly (and not so
thinly) disguised ethnic slurs to appear in member reviews. Go figure.
Sometimes I'm surprised that they allow the names of the cruise lines
to be mentioned.
Very nice review, Mark. Bingo? Who knew?!

| | Guest | An Alaskan Bear Cruise -- Our RSVP Cruise to Alaska with the Lazy Bears Hi, Mark.
It's always a treat to read your reviews--you're a terrific writer. Thanks
for sharing such a detailed report on both the Amsterdam and the RSVP vs.
Atlantis cruise concept. It sounds like you had a really good trip. You're
lucky to have such a compatible group of friends in the Lazy Bears for those
times when you're in the mood for a group cruise.
HAL's idea of providing an art tour podcast + loaner iPods is so...logical!
Didn't you love Explorations as a venue? We spent quite a bit of time there
on the
ms Rotterdam--of all of the cruise ships we've explored, it's my favorite
hangout at sea, for sure.
Is the "Master Chef's Menu Night" a new HAL standard, or did they create
that just for the RSVP sailing? Your entertaining description of that dinner
alone is "worth the price of admission," as they say.
Cheers,
Diana Ball
