I have not found them to be too noisy. I have been booking them and
have one booked on Liberty of the Seas in December. I don't think
though that I would want an inside promenade balcony. The only balcony
I would want is outside in the sea air.

The situations would be quite different. The outside balconies for most
cruises give you sea air, sea sounds (I love the ones just a bit back
where the bow wave is breaking) and not much to see. The promenade
balcony would provide a continuous collection of amusing views.

The reason I mentioned like a catamaran was because that was how it was
described to me. However that is just a rumor.
