Default Other beaches in St Maarten

We'll be crusing the southern caribbean with a stop in St Maarten. I
was thinking of grabing a taxi and asking him to show me a to a
different beach other than Orient Beach. What's a good beach to try,
how can I get a taxi back, how much would somthing like this set me
back. Are the taxi drivers somewhat trustworthy or do I need to keep
an eye on them? I guess I'd like to get away from the bulk of the
ship, maybe have him show me around a little. This will be my first
time on the island.

Thanks for the help
Jim

Try Pinel Island. Take a taxi to Cul de Sac. Then the little boats across
to the island.
