Paul,
Do YOU read what you have written? Where in the above two line post from
Odysseus does it say all that you said it does?
By now, everyone who travels knows that they are not supposed to be in
possession of deadly weapons on planes...so what would be their intent if
they violated the rules?

DC-3's are still flying in some of the more remote parts of the world.
A very reliable, strong airframe and no fancy electronics to worry
about; no pressurization to worry about either. A rugged airplane in
all ways.
