| | Guest | Aruba question I am making arrangements to meet someone in Aruba, we are going to be
in port on the same day. Would both ships be docked at the same place,
also any suggestions about a good place to meet us, maybe by the
Tourist Information booth?
Thanks,

Sue,
Yes, both ships should be docked at the same pier. IIRC, both ship docking
areas have a building right on the pier to handle excursions, etc. I'd pick
a ship you want to meet by, then wait inside its building.

From what I just read there is a tourist information booth and shops
in the building. Does this sound right to you and would it be a good
meeting spot?

Sue,
I believe that is your easiest (and best) choice.

Thanks Fred, but can I trust that you are being serious here?

Just looking at an email I just got, it looks like Carlos and Charlies
might be the spot.

They have a security fence there so while it is right across from the
pier you can't walk directly to Carlos & Charlies from the ships. You
have to walk off to the end of the pier and then double back. So it
becomes a long walk. Iguana Joe's would be a better meeting place if
you want to meet off of the dock both in location and also in ambiance
in my opinion.

The security fences they are putting up at the piers are making life a
bit more challenging, but we have no choice.
I trust you opinion, fire eaters or not.lol So where is Iguana Joe's
or will it be obvious once we are off the ship?
thanks,

You can't see people coming off the ship. They set up a security zone
so you when you get off the ship, if your ship is docked at that end of
the pier you have to walk parallel to the ship, the whole length of the
ship and then there is a road that you turn and walk up that goes to
Smith Blvd.

As long as it is on the main avenue and I know it is in the Royal
plaza Mall, it should be easy to find.
thanks,
