Hi Peri,

I see you are doing a similar cruise to ours and leaving at the same
time, just sorry we will be on different ships. We were in Costa Rica
a long time ago and took the Tortuguero canals excursion. We enjoyed
it alot, but it may be too tame for your kids, I assume you are
cruising with them.

I see that we will be in Aruba the same day, maybe we can arrage to
get together for dinner or a drink or something? I was only in Aruba
once a long time ago and don't know if there is more then one pier or
not??

No kids and an aft cabin, that is the way to go!!

Is the pub crawl through your cruise line or private? Please do email me.

I thought the cable ride over the rain forest was boring. A long bus
ride, high priced excursion, and all you see are tree tops and ants.
The cable car scares away the wildlife. The Tortoguero Canal which I
did on another trip was very good. Lots of wildlife, alligators and
birds. I did this on my own from tour operators who are at the pier. I
have also heard from fellow cruisers on the two cruises I did that
docked at Limon that water water rafting and the Cahuita National park
were very good.

We did the Tortoguero Canal trip with the cruise line and enjoyed it a
lot. This is one that I would suggest taking an early excursion, so
there is more wildlife to see.

We are going to be there again in a couple of weeks and haven't
decided what we want to do. Most ports I have no problem taking a
private tour, but in Limon I am concerned about the timing, since
everything is so far from the pier. Also that we just don't do
"early".lol

Hi Charles

It was our first visit to Costa Rica. I suppose the canopy ride could
be considered boring, but we enjoyed it, and the bus ride was
a good way to see a lot of the countryside that we wouldn't
have normally seen.. Banana plantations, etc. I probably wouldn't
do it again, but no regrets either! It was combined with the river
excursion (morning) and we were very happy with the tour. Any
tour recommendations for the Pacific side?

Peter
