1988 GMC 7000 Series Blower motor and Clearance lights
2 Problems. Installed new blower motor. Fan won't shut off. When I
slide the knob to off the motor stays running. Traced the purple
"hot" wire from the blower motor into the fire wall. Cant find a
relay for the motor.
Any idea if there is a relay or what could be causing it to stay
running?
Clearance lights won't come on when the lights are turned on. Does
the wiring connect directly to the switch? Perhaps I have a grounding
issue that is causing both issues. This is a medium duty truck. The
cab is ver similar to an 86-87 model pick up.

A short to ground in the wiring could be doing that. No relay, but probaby a
fuse.

Yes, and through a fuse.

A ground would not cause lights to not light up, unless the bulbs are burnt
out. More likely an open circuit someone along the way to those lights.
