Hotels Puerto Vallarta

I'd appreciate suggestions for a hotel in Puerto Vallarta. I'd like an
ocean view room, european plan, walking distance to many restaurants
and shopping. I'd like a little more than "basic" accommodations...not
luxurious but very nice. My Budget can swing $125.00 per night..not
really interested in "Mega" resorts..would prefer something smaller and
more intimate with primarily adult guests. Any information will be very
much appreciated.

You might check out the Hotel Tropicana in the zona romantica.

I've always stayed at large resorts and have a time share with Mayan Resorts. But beside having these large resorts they also have smaller hotels called Sea Garden. They are less expensive and are much smaller if that's what you are looking for. There are in Nuevo Vallarta, Acapulco and Mazatlan. I ahve been to the one in Nuevo Vallarta and it is really nice, quiet and afordable if you are not a member. Good luck!
