You could start with asking your government to stop asking chileans $US
100 for a visa. It's a reciprocity issue: chileans are force to pay for
entering the USA so USA citizen have to pay for entering Chile. | |

Um ... I don;t think the OP wanted to go to Chile: he wanted
to go to Argentina, and only had a short stopover in Chile
due to his plane connection.
