| | Guest | Novel set in Cartagena, Columbia? Hi,
While traveling in Venezuela 10 years ago, I was told of a great novel that
is set in Cartagena, Columbia. I just cannot remember which one. Even though
there may be a few, anyone have an idea? Would like to read some authentic
latin american literature on my upcoming trip to Ecuador...

Sorry for the spelling...that's really embarrassing.

| | Guest | Novel set in Cartagena, Columbia? No need to apologize. To me, the Cartagena was a dead giveaway and no
thoughts of the university crossed my mind. The poster who pointed out your
misspelling either has a very low IQ or finds some pleasure in pointing out
mistakes. Everyone else knew exactly what you were referring to.

Probably about the same percentage as in Holland. | |

If someone wrote 'Cartagenia' I would think that person is either
dyslexic or stupid. | |

| | Guest | Novel set in Cartagena, Columbia? Oh, I get it now, you're the ONLY one in the whole wide world who is NOT
dyslexic or stupid because you're NEVER made a mistaken in spelling. The
rest of us humans have mispelled words every now and then. Permit me to bow
and genuflect in front of you, the almighty.

WOW. I must say I am positively impressed by the entusiasm exhibited in
discussing my mistake (or my ignorance, dyslexia and the likes ;-).
Literature is packed and I am set for Ecuador and the Galapagos. Wether
you're Colombian, Dutch, a Columbia Alumni, South American, Latin American
or North American, thanks for your insights :-)
