import restrictions in Guatemala

Can anyone tell me if it is legal to import German ham or bacon into
Guatemala? This would be a couple pöounds as a present.

Ask the airlines you're flying with. American air carriers are required
to have this sort of information available and provide it when asked.

Entering the US you would not be able to bring this stuff in unless it
was commercially canned. You might have to consider this as an option for
Guatamala.

In fact it is forbidden to bring fresh and seasoned meat.. and vegetable or
frutis..
in most countries ( if not all ) of the world

when I was in Guatemala. my bus was stopped twice to check for fruit and
vegetables
