Recommended hotel / snorkeling West Bay Beach Roatan?

Hiya...
We're going to Pico Bonito in mid- May 06 for a couple of weeks...
we're active, in our 50's, do lots of jungle walks/birding, nature
trails, etc.

Would love to come out the forest for sun/snorkeling on Roatan for a
week.. West Bay beach area seems to beach the reef magnet..

Looking for a quiet, peaceful place to stay on the water, small, no
cruise ship crowds, no jocks... pool would be nice as well...

Any suggestions? Tempted by the 'Island Pearl'; or should we push
further out to Guanaja...

oops forgot the last part....

Ferry is cheaper but slower and schedule can sometimes be tricky. If the
seas are rough, it can be a real nightmare. If you don't like being with
the locals, then the ferry is not for you.

Flying costs more (currently $56 rt) but quick and there are several
flights a day to Roatan. Three airlines fly there from La Ceiba, all
charge the same and are pretty much interchangable. Just book at the
airport (you can even do it on the day you want to fly, just find out
who has the next flight and go with them.)
