Weather in Puerto Vallarta?

We booked a week in PV for early March without giving a thought to the
weather. But the weather's been so damned wierd everywhere, maybe that was
a mistake.

Of course it's too late to do anything about it now, but how's it been
down there this past winter? Any long term forecasts available anywhere?
Eating is our favorite vacation activity anyway, so that shouldn't be
affected.

Which raises another question: It's been six years since we were in
PV; any "new" restaurants of note (I realize that six years is a long
time for restaurants in a resort town)?

The only restaurants I remember by name are Le Bistro and Chef Roger.

Cafe de Olla is great.
