Default Interesting place between Villahermosa and Veracruz

Hello,

We are planning a car trip to Mexico, mainly Qaxaca and Chiapas.
On the way back to Mexico City, on the leg from Villahermosa to
Veracruz, we are looking for an interesting place to stop for the night
and tour around.

Any help appreiated.

Cheers,
Rit

Tlacotalpan which is a few miles off the highway SE of Alvarado. Beautiful,
brightly colored homes along a river teeming with birds. Good, inexp.
seafood restaurants along the river and, by far, the best coconut ice cream
sold by a guy on a bike that I've ever had. There's at least one decent
hotel with AC in town. Dan
