I am traveling to the Dominican Republic in May.

Do I need a tourist card or will my passport do?

The best is passport, but driving licence is possible.
From Canada or United Stated is ok.
From many other country, the passport is necessary.

The best is passport and one photocopy of passport.
If you lost passport, it's more easy to recover new passport with
photocopy of passport at your ambasade.

Did anyone take your cd player, laptop etc with them? I need to take mine
but read somewhere that I need to take the registration of the products or
risk paying duties on them when I come back.
