Default kayaking & diving in Central America

Any suggestions for good places to dive (sub aqua) and kayak in
Central America?

I arrive from Ireland to Mexico City 10 Dec 2004 and return from
Panama City 30 Jan 2005.

Much appreciated,

John.

John,
I've been diving Mexico for 30 years and I'd say Cozumal is the best.
Saw my first sharks here in '76 big thrill for a novice diver. Cancun
has some nice spots but Club Med used to have the best operation. I
haven't been there in years so don't know if it's still first
class-ask around.
Acapulco has some fair spots. You can shore dive on J P Morgan's old
yacht "Corsair".
I'll be in Acapulco around Christmas, if you e-mail me at
mebubbe@msn.com I'll show you where to find The Corsair.
