Travel time

Hi There-

Can someone tell me the first class bus travel times between:

Guatemala City -> Flores

Flores -> Belize City

Belize City -> Cancun

I've been looking around the web for a listing of common cities in Central
American and their travel times, but can't quite find the info myself.

I did Antigua /Flores via Guatemala city
as far as I know.. I was taken to Guatemala City by a small van to the bus
station. there I took the fist class
bus with stewardess and so on.

again.. from Flores I took a tourist bus to mexico via belize.
it was a private bus..
not so good or comfortable as the previous one
it made a small detour and let a few passengers out in Belize city.

the timings depend a lot on how much time you will lose at various borders..
( guatemala / belize)
people have to get out at the guatemala border
leave the bus
stamp passports
walk to the Belize border
stamp passports and pay for visa.
get onboard the bus.

not a big hassle.. but a long time and long lines.

Linea Dorada travels Guatemala to Flores in about 7 hours. They are the
original luxury busses and they say they go all the way to Chetumal Mx. I
used them two months ago from the capital to Flores. As the bus is kind of a
double decker, try to get the seats up front, over the driver. The view is
great. There is now a newer competing service with brand new busses, for a
few extra $$. I don't remember the name but next time I will try them as
they look even better.
