Default travels in bolivia and peru

I would like to ask those of you who have been to Bolivia and Peru
where to stay in Lima, Cuzco, Puno, Iquitos, Copacabana and La Paz.
Also, what attractions did you visit, and can you recommend any good
hikes in these countries? What are the costs? How did you get to the
different destinations? Your contributions to my trip will be much
appreciated. Cheers, Erik. erik.wegge@eudoramail.com

Iquitos is a very small town. and it is just a small island in the forest.
you can get to Iquitos only by air.. or in theory by boat.

as soon as you land at iquitos. you will see many people oferring you hotel
rooms and excursions to the forest.

do not consider them.
get into the town adn make a few inquiries.

Hi Honza

Well its a 180 km trek with 6 - 8 passes up to 5000 meters.
Its known as one of the most spectacular and beautiful trekkings in the
world.
The Huayhuash mountain range is just south of the cordillera blanca and
about 80 km south of Huaraz.
The trek takes about 12 days, add one day to get from Lima to Huaraz, 2 days
to getting used to the altitude, and one day to get back to Lima.
Ofcourse it can be runned in 5 days.

Do a search on the internet for Huayhuash to se fotos etc.

Best regards
Klaus Hansen
