Tikal Jungle Lodge reservations?

Has anybody recently successfully made reservations
for the Tikal Jungle Lodge from abroad?

The company I used in 2002 no longer appears to exist,
and two on-line query forms sent out a week ago have
gone unanswered.

What's the best way to reserve this hotel? I'm in
the U.S.A., in Colorado.

On site hotels in Tikal are notorious for not "remembering" individual
reservations. Try reserving from Flores or just show up. In the unlikely
event that you could not get a room at Tikal, El Remate, twenty minutes away
has a dozen good hotels such as El Pajaro y Serpiente , Don David's or El
Mirador Del Duende, covering all price ranges. Don David's has a web site.
