Incidents of Travel in the Yucatan, volumes one and two, by John L.
Stephens (illustrations by Catherwood),An Account of the Things of
Yucatan by Fray Diego de Landa, and Yucatan Before and After the
Conquest.
Those should keep you busy. They're the three seminal histories of the
Maya/Spanish eras. Or for a quicker read, try Inigo Fernandez' History
of Mexico Translated by David Caseldine.) |
