Default Shopping in Buenos Aires

Do they have large shoppping centres in BA? or are they jsut large shops in
old buildings in the city centre.

Are any particular goods reasonably cheap or are prices on a par with
elsewhere in the world subject to the fluctuation of the pesos on the world
market.

Leather goods are an exceptionally good buy, belts, purses etc. They are
for sale everywhere, especially Florida st.

How large is "large"?

In the center of the city, there's Galerías Pacífico, a large, elegant
shopping mall on Florida Street. (There are several smaller, less elegant
ones as well.) In Recoleta, there's Patio Bullrich. There is also Alto
Palermo.

Leather goods have always seemed to me to be reasonably priced, and I have
heard that furs are good buys in Argentina.

There are certainly large, elegant shopping centers in Buenos Aires, as well
as myriad smaller shops throughout the city.

Leather products are always good buys, and I think silver and gold are
relatively cheap as well. The pedestrian street Florida has plenty of more
upscale shops, but then, for me to call something upscale may be a bit
questionable, since I enjoy myself more at the craft fairs. Whatever your
tastes or budget, though, there are plenty of good bargains throughout the
city.
