Panama Hotels--Any recommendations?

I'm traveling to Panama City, Panama next week, but I'm a student
and traveling on a rather tight budget. Can anyone recommend any good
hotels that are inexpensively priced? What is the usual nightly rate?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I stay in the "Covadonga" on Calle No 29 ......which I got out of the Lonely
Planet guide book.
This was almost 2 yrs ago.....
It is a budget place to stay at $20 dollars/night but will get you hot
water, TV, private bathroom, a/c. Open 24 hrs...use cash or credit
card....I used VISA. they have soap but bring your own shampoo. The area
is safe with places to eat nearby. Beware of the streets there if you are
driving. I have a good sense of direction but got lost/confused several
times. I'm not convinced all the streets were on my map.
