Phuket. Best time of the year to go. Water is 80. Nice beaches. Great
value. Great food. Decent diving (in the Similans).
Or maybe Bonaire, for the same reasons.

| | Guest | Feb 07 Looks like we are leaning toward Taveuni Island, Fiji.
Any of you have tips regarding Fiji/Taveuni?
Thanx

Yes, a fellow San Diegan! Our office is off of Mira Mesa Blvd.
What about Cozumel? Some of the best diving in the world there. Lots of
deluxe resorts with dive centers right on the beach. Not a big hit on
the budget either. My clients are always happy there.
Bora Bora is great but expensive.
Belize & Costa Rica are great too, but still a little out of the
mainstream. It can be tough to get there from San Diego - you end up
with lots of layovers.

Before or after. Lots of "deluxe" resorts? I don't remember even one.

No, it's Air Tahiti. Air Tahiti Nui is the international carrier and I
didn't think their luggage limits were a problem. Air Tahiti is the
regional island hopper and it's a 20 kilo limit as far as I recall. You're
stuck with Air Tahiti getting to any island other than Tahiti, except for
the ferry to Moorea and the cruiseships that you favor.

That is what a NG is good for. Thanks for your insight and all the
rest of you as well!
