We have loved the Cancun Palace in Cancun, but unfortunately it is closed
now until June because of Hurricane Wilma.
We are going to the Iberostar in Punta Cana on January 21 and taking our
grandbaby with us. While we won't be using the children's program (he will
only be 11 months when we go) I will be checking it out, as I always do. 30
years as a child care provider does that to a person.
In 1995 I took my kids to Club Med and they loved it. We were in Eleuthera
in the Bahamas, but that club has since closed. One caveat of Club Med is
that it is very laid back. Everything there is very informal. The food was
plentiful, but nothing memorable. For us, that was perfect. But if you are
looking to be pampered in anyway, CM may not be for you.
But all of this aside, our family's BEST all inclusive vacations have been
cruises. We have been on Carnival, Princess, NCL, and RCL. Every one of
them had exceptional children's programs that we had to drag the kids OUT
of, the food on all (except NCL) was very high quality, the service is
impeccable, and dollar for dollar, has been our best vacation experience.
Just my opinion
