Yeah there are trip insurance policies that just cover while out
of the country for the duration of a specific trip. They are usually
linked to specific general policies (trip insurance so if you get
hurt or sick and have to cancel the trip entirely you get the money
back, luggage insurance, etc.). There are also a number of available
policies, so I would look around and carefully read.
I use a travel agent for most of my travelling, so I don't know
if any of these are available directly. You might want to check in
with the travel newsgroups (rec.cruises, etc) for more advice on
this.
