A couple of them I have used for this purpose don't seem to care
as long as you tell anyone in the area ahead of time what you are
doing, bring your own model and shoot away from the assembled
multitude. IIRC the OP was saying he was looking for a place to
shoot his model.

Neither, since the advice is 85% wrong. It applies to the portion of
the beach which is in front of Club Orient, but that is only about 15%
of the length of the beach at the south end. With the exception of
one other very short section, the beach is essentially NOT nude and
cameras are common. But I don't think a nude camera session would be
appreciated in the de facto non-nude part of the beach.
Well, there is a long undeveloped section near the north end of the
beach where there's "nobody" and thus I suppose nudity and camera
wouldn't offend anyone.
The Mt Vernon hotel complex at the north end of the beach strongly
discourages nudity. | |

Not likely, but a bunch could gang up on you, subdue you and throw your
camera into the water--it wouldn't be the first time, and likely not the
last.
The best tact is to tell those in camera range WHAT you're doing and give
appropriate assurances.....if that isn't acceptable then move on to a more
secluded (less populated) spot on the beach.

Don't remember the name but we found it when we walked from Ocean
Club West to Ocean Club and then kept going. BIG sign saying nude
beach. That was when my wife thought it was time to turn around (g).

Cameras are not popular and they are rarely seen. You can take photos,
as long as you do not wag your camera under people's noses. Find a
place at the beach and get comfortable for a few minutes. If you want
to take pictures, have your model pose in front of the water, then aim
your camera only at the model. Most people do not get upset as long as
you are taking pictures towards the beach, and you do not aim the camera
at them. People will keep their eye on you, the moment they see the
camera. If they feel uncomfortable, they may ask the life guard to
escort you off the beach.
St. Maarten would be a good choice. Baie Rouge and Cupecoy are two of
my favorite beaches. Arrive early if you want to take photos. Good luck.

Ah, yes. But did _you_ have a pleasant time? :-)

Actually here we had the reverse happen. There was a guy taking photos.
Two young girls complained to a nudist. He went up to the photographer
to talk to him. The guy with the camera produced a gun. The nudist (a
marshal arts expert) disarmed him but the gun discharged (it was loaded
and the safety off!) Fortunately nobody was hurt. The cameraman ran
away leaving the gun. The nudist reported the incident to police. The
cameraman was located through the gun which was licenced and was
charged and convicted with several offences involving the gun but not
taking photographs.

Is it hypocritical to not want your photograph used in a manner that you do
not consent to? That is exactly what can happen when someone you do not
know takes photos of you.
And if some Joe that you have never seen before walks up to you on an
foreign island beach and says he is taking your picture but he has a
contract he has signed that he won't use the photos except for his own
masturbatory activities good enough for you?
If you say yes, then I have a bridge on Aruba I want to sell you.

We were on Orient Beach in around July/Aug, and as I recall there were
maybe 4 people on the entire beach, one of whom was way out kite
sailing. So it largely depends when, too. That said, there are some
great places in Guadeloupe (e.g. northern Basse Terre) that would do
the job. Even on Montserrat where the beaches like Foxes are largely
uninhabited, you'll have an entire black sand beach to yourself.
