Try one of the local "Paradores" around the island. They are
government sponsored and usually have the best local food and
restaurants. ALlo, call them directly instead of going thru a thirs
party. Try bargaining a rate.

As an alrenative you can camp out, but probably you will lose
everything after they steal it.
