most calm waves on beach ?

I would like to know which beach in the Caribbean has
the most calm ocean waves and is safest for swimming with
a young child ? Thinking of Negril, Cancun, Cuba, Punta Cana.

Negril beach - bloody bay (RIU Tropical) was extremely calm like a lake
when we were there a few years ago.

That sounds like what we are looking for is calm like a lake..
