Default St Thomas Memorial Day Hotel and Moped vs. Rental Car

Looking for a recommendation for a romantic, secluded St. Thomas
hotel/resort in the $125-$180 a night range. The quieter and out of
the way, the better. Only amenity really required is a pool, and even
that is flexible.

I've also seen a lot about car rental in St. Thomas, particularly about
taking the ferry to St. John, and was wondering if people got around
the island on mopeds, and whether anyone had experience renting a moped
there (and are they allowed on the ferry?).

Thanks!

Clarification:

Antilles Point Pleasant Resort (for $650 for four nights)
or
Wyndham Sugar Bay Resort & Spa (for $950 for four nights)

Any recommendations?

I haven't been to St.T many times, but I am sure that moped rental
would be a BAD idea, and I don't think they are available. In
addition to driving on the left, you also have steep grades, and no
shoulders.
