Default Tamarind cove

Tamarind is one of the bigger hotels on the West Coast of Barbados. With
over 100 rooms. It is not one of the best hotels but is quite a
comfortable property. Part of a group calling itself Elegant Hotels. It
had a necessary soft furnishings upgrading last year. Part of the
hotel/next door is the very chic "The House" - a minimalist hip style
property. Has a couple of reasonable restaurants (Sasso & Tangiers).
Guests also have signing facilities at Daphnes (same as the Sloaney
restaurant in London) but it is not part of the hotel's meal plan. It
has 2 or 3 pools, a good stretch of beach and a couple of cocktail bars.
One good thing about Tamarind Cove is that it is pretty close to some
other bars and restaurants - an easy walk. Also usually quite a lot of
young children so if you have kids there will e company. At Easter,
Christmas (and summer holidays I blv) they offer a supervised kids'
programme. It offers quite good value accommodation and although by no
means a luxury property it has a pleasing touch of Mediterranean
character in the hotel and its gardens.

Offers a free daytime watertaxi to other Elegant Hotels (like Crystal
Cove or Colony Club) at which they offer exchange dining with a
supplementary charge.

Hope this helps.

Brgds

Tom W.
