Airport phone calls, Jamaica

Last week I was in Jamaica which I didn't care for, and my return
flight was held up for 17 + hours.
I made two calls 3 minutes each to the States at the airport phone
booth, using my credit card. I just received my credit card statement
each call was just a few cents short of $40.00 USD. I have no recourse
but to pay the blasted bill.
Several words of advice don't make a call using your credit card
because you see you're screwed. I just hope my costly mistake helps
save someone else from making the same one.

There is an office center in the duty free downstairs area. VERY
affordable. Were you in an Air Jamaica fiasco??

I was in the US Air 3000 fiasco.

I hope this helps someone to save a bit of cash......
I have just spent 2 weeks in lovely 'Runaway bay', and I spoke on the phone
nearly every-other day to people back home in UK. & USA. What you need is
your phone unlocked to all networks. simple to have done ...
then when your over in Jamaica, get a local phone card (pay-as-you-go) some
call it. or a local sim card(one of the locals at your hotel should help
you!
there you have it .....I got nearly 2 hrs of calls for $20 us.. this you
can do in all the resorts that you travel to in the many destination you
travel to! I have been doing this for about 7 years. I live in United
Kingdom & travel to USA /Jamaica/ Mexico/ Holland /Denmark/ Norway/ Spain/
Canary Islands, all of these places you can do the same..
