Me, my wife and 3-year-old want to go for the first time to the Caribbean.
What's a good island to start? What's the budget one needs at the Caribbean?
(food, drink, ...)
What do we do best regarding accomodation? Will be book some resort or look
for something when we arrive?

For a young family, I think Isla Mujeres with its calm north beach and
small, close knit community is a great place.

It is off the Yucatan. Just fly into Cancun.

Good choice!

> What's a good island to start?

It depends on what you like to do. If you want losts of family activities,
romance opportunities, mellow atmosphere, sports, all these factors carry
weight in your choice.

What's the budget one needs at the Caribbean?

Do you like gourmet or home cooking? Local cuisine or salmon and steaks?
This choice could mean the difference of a dinner ticket ranging from $20 to
$400 per meal.

Do you want to do all your own cooking, some, or none? Do you want a
concierge and babysitting (hotel) or seclusion and privacy (villa)? Again,
it depends on your needs.

Answer these questions and we'll be in a much better position to help you
construct an ideal vacation for you. That's what we do here along with
discourse about our favorite spots. Planning a vacation is half the fun!

Considering budget and other things we decided to go to the Dominican
Republic for 3 weeks.
We booked at a resort in Samana.
Now besides beach life, what are some points of interest we'll have to see
at the Dominican?

What weather can i expect in July? I am reading different stories about it.
Some say a heavy shower - about half an hour - at the end of the day.
Others told me 3 days non-stop rain is normal in July.

And yes, we booked also a 5 star resort. :-))
