You'll be better in June than in, say, September/October. Much less
likely to have a serious hiccup, like a tropical storm or hurricane.
It will also be less busy, so it would in fact be my choice of time
to go (though I'd visit other parts of the country).
If you're set on the caribbean, you can really only chose something
way south like Trinidad/Tobago or Curacao/Bonaire if you want to be
more sure of dry clear weather around that time. It's hot anyway,
so IMO a little cloud is a relief, but to each his own.
I'd stick with it if I were you.
