Interesting, thanks. I would not have gotten on that ferry on a bet. It
really isn't suitable for that run. Not having the car ferry running must be
making things interesting on Cozumel. That was how most of the larger stuff
got out there.

Looks like they've moved the commercial operation down the coast to
Calica. There's a big new turn off of 307 and a big brick sign. They
take rental cars, but only with special permission from the rental car
company.

Calica/Cozumel Car Ferry
Cost: $ 5 per passenger, $55 any size truck or car.
Time: 2 hours
Tel: Maritima Chankanaab, (984) 872-0827
Departure from Calica Dock: 10:00 AM, 7:00 PM
Departure from Cozumel: 8:00 AM, 5:30 PM

If it's anything like the old car ferry, you need to get there a good
couple of hours before she sails to get a spot.
