Tobago tips

Hi,

Two people we know is going to Tobago at the end of this month.
Do you have any suggestions where to stay, what do do?
Budget travelers.
They want to take day tour to Trinidad, but have been warned against doing
so
because of very high crime. Is it really that bad there? These are two
women, one about
30, one about 50 years old.

Suggestions are welcome

Agreed. We toured both islands and had no problems (although normal
precautions apply here, of course, as anywhere). We found Port of
Spain on Trinidad extremely interesting. The mix of Brit, East Indian,
Chinese and Black people and influences was fastinating.

Tobago is mostly Black, and has a very different feel. We spent most
of our time on the western end of the island and snorkled a lot on the
reefs there. There is a gorgeous beach at Pigeon Point.

Thanks a lot everybody.
They have now booked a hotel called James Holiday Resort, near Crown Point.
They have been recommended that from some other friends.
I have printed out your suggestions, and will give it to them tomorrow.
