 Getting from San Juan to Maricao
Hi,
Maricao is quite far from San Juan, maybe 3-3.5 hours. As far as I know the
only way to get there is with a rental car.
There are two airports that are closer: Aguadilla (airport code BQN) and
Mayaguez (airport code MAZ). San Juan usually have the cheapest fares and
has (by far) the most flights.
Maricao is very mountainous and the roads are narrow, steep and windy. It's
quite an adventure to drive :)
The car rental company will probably be able to tell you the best way to get
there. I think you can get there by taking Rt. 22 (expressway) from San
Juan, then Route 2 when 22 finishes. After that I am not sure, but I think
there may be an exit for Route 105 that takes you there.
