I have been working in Barbados before, and I belive I will get a work
premit now, as I did then.
I know that there are a lot of unemployed hotel staff in Barbados. But I can
not let that stop me from applying.
I know there are two norwegian girls working in the reception at Sandy Lane.
So if they can make it, I can make it.
Some people also think that bringing in a foreigner is an advantage. We have
different way to think, and can bring in new ideas and things. Take a look
at What Leif Brandel has done the time he has been in Barbados. He have
brought new thoughts into BTA, he have made Allamanda and Amaryllis into
something that is not even near what it was. And he is doing very very well.
While most other bajan hotel owners has been laid back, he has been buying
and growing. Big!
When I started Barbados Online, a small travel business I have, I wrote a
lot of hotes in Barbados. Asking if I can get brochures, rates and stuff.
And if I could come and see their hotel.
I wrote many may hotels. And I think I got reply from 2 of them. After a
long long time of course.
I did not write Asta, but the swedish owner had picked up my name from
somewhere, and HE called me.
Sometimes it can be valuable to not be as laidback as bajans often are. And
I think also that can be an advantage for me.
And of course that I speak 5 languages.
