Default Ocho Rios-what to do?

Need some suggestions on what to do in Ocho Rios on our upcoming cruise.
I heard Dunns River Falls is good but I'm worried about climbing up it. Is
it really strenous? Would our 10 yr old be able to do it easily?

Thanks for any ideas.

It's so oddly gorgeous that you should go and see it whether or not you
actually climb it. It really isn't at all strenuous unless you have a bona
fide disability. A ten-year-old should have no problem, but I forget
whether they allow kids that young to climb it.

Why say that anyone should go elsewhere. I stayed at Mallard beach and got
a guy with a small boat to take us there the easy way. Just four of us and a
cooler with all we needed for a day trip. Nice videos and photos and had a
great time. You don't have to buy anything from the venders if you don't
want to. Anywhere can be a trap if you let it.

In article <40a932d6$1_2@news.utk.edu>, nobody says...

I think Dunn Rivers Falls is worth seeing...once.

Climbing it is optional and not for everyone.

Its spectacular, a natural wonder of the planet.

And, like many natural wonders, its a tad bit spoiled
but so are places like the Grand Canyon, Zion National
Park, etc. If it wasn't, you likely wouldn't have the
opportunity to see it.

I can just imagine what it looked like 500 years ago.

Our 10 year twins had no problems climbing the falls. It was one of the
highlights of their cruise! Make sure they wear water shoes while climbing!
Another great shore excursion in Ocho Rios that we also did as a family is
the river tubing down the White River. It was a lot of fun. Your cruise ship
will probably have it as an excursion. In fact, the falls, the river tubing
and swimming with the sting rays in Grand Cayman are the three best
according to our four kids. Not to mention snorkeling at Grand Cayman also!!
