It is a bit silly. They should just leave the time what it is in winter. It
sure doesn't make any difference in summer.

In some areas like here in New England it saves energy. If I remember
correctly some decades ago it was suspended for some reason but reinstated.
The winter mornings were dark as the kids walk to school or waited for the
bus. Nothing matters once summer arrives, to me anyway. Been wet dark and
cold far to long for this old guy.
