Default Marinique Volcano Active Again

(MNS) April 1, 2004 - Martinique's infamous Soufriere Volcano is rumbling
again after more than 100 years of silence. It's last explosion killed
15,000 people and destroyed the capital. Geologists predict that Martinique
will likely suffer the same fate as Montserrat, whose volcano has destroyed
most of the island and buried its capital of Plymouth. Real estate prices on
Martinique have plummeted, and it is reported that speculators are buying
and selling prime beachfront real estate downwind of the volcano at prices
as low as the equivalent of $100 per parcel.
